Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris,France. Monet started to be interested in art when he was five years old he developed a love for drawing and soon began to fill his notebooks with sketches. Monet then became well-known for drawing from many of the town residents when he was selected to participate in the salon. The salon was an annual art show where they choose two of his paintings. He then met with a man named Eugene Boudin who convinced Monet to explore the natural world in his work. So from then on Monet did most of his artwork outside to see landscapes that inspired him to paint.. He consistently depicted the landscape by developing a unique style that strove to capture on canvas the very act of perceiving nature. Monet would later brought the technique to one of its most famous pinnacles with his so-called series paintings, were captured in numerous sequences of paintings. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere. One of his most beautiful, well known paintings was Impression Sunrise and The Water Lily Pond.
And all in all, the reason why I choose Claude Monet was because he was a famous french painter whose work gave a name to the art movement impressionism. And what i really liked about his work is that he used lots of colors and used landscapes for his art to be an inspiration for himself.

Tessa Eastman is an award winning British ceramic artist with over twenty years’ experience of working with clay. She lives and works in London Uk and graduated from the University of Westminster in 2006 with a BA Honors in Ceramics, and in 2015 gained a MA in Ceramics & Glass,The Royal College of Art. Within Tessa's work, one can recognize the element of movement due to the factors of emphasis, movement, space, shape, colors and textures. I am attracted to her art work because of this. I like how in each of Tessa's art pieces she incorporates something new and seems to challenge herself with it due to some of it's complex aspects. However, I also like that she shows determination and enjoyment in her work because in each piece it looks as if she had to plan and have patience on order for it to be completed. And overall, she has shown her appreciation for art due to her many accomplishes through it. For example she has won multiple awards for her art work. Like, The Craft Emergency Award, with an exhibition at Aspex Gallery, with the addition of participating in multiple and various shows.
Sean O’Connell is a studio potter and educator living in Red Lodge, MT who has earned his MFA from the School for American Crafts/RIT and his BFA at Kansas City Art Institute. And as of now is currently the Education & Communications Coordinator at the Red Lodge Clay Center. He has gained his expertise in art through many experiences and opportunities within his life. For example, he has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was a Visiting Faculty member at the Alberta College of Art & Design in Calgary, Alberta. As for his artwork, it consists of handmade clay objects that consist of many variation and styles from cups, pots and plates and so on. However what caught my eye or attracted me towards his work was the different colors and patterns of each one of his pieces. With this in mind I believe that I can connects towards and with O'Connell's artwork due to many similar factors. Like for example making handmade objects and using and cooperating color and patterns into our work, however my patterns also include the use of texture. Over all I admire O'Connell's work because it is beuatifula and attracts the eye in which I would say speaks for itself due to O'Connell being named one of six Emerging Artists at the annual NCECA conference in Kansas City in 2016.
